【TMTS 2026 Highlights – Ecosystem】AccuteX EDM × JEENXI Technology Leading the Future of Smart Manufacturing: Multi-Machine Integration Driving Production Line Innovation

2025-09-24

An integrated demonstration of EDM machine + 5-axis vertical machining center + robotic arm showcases seamless workflow from rough machining to final precision finishing.

The UH-500 5-axis vertical machining center takes charge of rough machining and shape forming. With 5-axis cutting capability, it accurately processes complex geometries, inclined surfaces, and concave curves, ensuring precise alignment and compatibility for subsequent electrode production and EDM processes. After the UH-500 completes rough machining, the JHV-550 produces electrodes with high conformity to the final product geometry. These electrodes are then applied in the EDM machine for precision discharge machining, achieving finer details and superior surface quality.

Next, the EX500 EDM machine performs fine finishing. A robotic arm transfers the semi-finished workpiece from the JHV-550 into the EX500 for micro machining, including chamfering, surface polishing, and high-precision internal holes or intricate geometries. Automated handling via robotic arms or AGVs ensures smooth transfer between the UH-500, JHV-550, and EX500, minimizing human error and wasted time while improving workflow continuity and production efficiency.

Smart programming based on 3D CAM models automatically generates geometry data, electrode corrections, edge alignment, and discharge sequences, streamlining the entire process from design to manufacturing with reduced manual intervention.

By integrating rough machining → electrode manufacturing → precision machining, the solution greatly reduces waiting and transfer times between equipment. Accurate electrode-workpiece matching enhances EDM precision, significantly improving surface roughness and fine detail performance. Automated handling and process control reduce human error and production interruptions. SMEs can also adopt this system without requiring large-scale production lines, while future expansions—such as adding backup machines, inspection, or machine vision modules—are easily achievable thanks to its scalable architecture.
