High Precision
Industry-first Total Runout Accuracy Guaranteed within 5 μm
Only YUKIWA can offer this level of guarantee.
Conventionally, the accuracy of a collet chuck refers only to the precision of the collet itself. Most manufacturers do not take into account the total runout accuracy, including the holder body.
YUKIWA’s Super G1 Chuck thoroughly optimizes the holder body, clamping nut, and collet as a complete system. By minimizing deviations among the holder body, nut, and collet, YUKIWA achieves the industry’s first guaranteed total runout accuracy within 5 μm—the precision level users truly demand.
High Rigidity & High Clamping Force
Outstanding Performance in Heavy-Duty Milling Operations
■ In high-speed and high-efficiency machining, excellent runout accuracy alone is not sufficient. Clamping force and rigidity are equally essential.
■ High rigidity is ensured by reducing the collet overhang from the holder body and increasing the wall thickness of the collet insertion area.
■ The collet taper adopts a 1/10 taper (5°23′29″), increasing clamping force by 1.5 times compared to conventional YUKIWA products.
This enables the Super G1 Chuck to fully demonstrate its performance in high-speed and heavy milling applications, including the use of high-performance end mills.
High Balance
Stable Even Under High-Speed Cutting
■ Balance is another critical factor in high-speed machining.
■ By precision grinding the V-flange front face and neck area of BT tool holders, the Super G1 Chuck achieves excellent dynamic balance, ensuring stable operation at high spindle speeds.
Superior Surface Finish
The surface roughness of machined workpieces can vary significantly.
If tool holder rigidity is insufficient, chatter occurs during machining, resulting in inconsistent surface quality. While conventional milling chucks may offer strong clamping force, they do not necessarily provide high rigidity.
The Super G1 Chuck delivers exceptional rigidity, suppressing chatter during milling operations. No secondary finishing is required—you can clearly see the difference in the final machined surface.
Reduced Tooling Costs
Shrink-fit holders provide stable performance, but their runout accuracy cannot match that of the Super G1 Chuck.
The example on the right shows a customer application using the Super G1 Chuck, where minimized runout significantly reduces tool wear and increases the number of holes drilled per tool.
Better runout accuracy = Lower tooling costs.
Over time, this contributes substantially to overall cost reduction.
Shorter Tool Change Time
With the Super G1 Chuck, tool changes are quick and easy—simply open and close the collet using a dedicated wrench. No shrink-fit heating device is required.
This greatly reduces non-productive “changeover time.”
Additionally, time spent adjusting runout accuracy increases machining hours and costs. Many customers report:
“Achieving high-precision tool mounting in a short time leads directly to cost savings.”
