1. Robust Structural Design
The machine features a gantry-type fixed-beam structure. Both the bed and the integrated column-crossbeam are made of high-quality cast iron. This design ensures excellent structural stability, superior vibration dampening, and high manufacturing precision over the long term.
2. Multi-Axis Configuration & Efficiency
Equipped with dual spindles and independent control for the X1, X2, Y1, Z1, Z2, and C axes. All axes support full closed-loop control for maximum accuracy. Key operational advantages include:
Dual Dressing Units: Both spindles are equipped with diamond dressers to true the outer diameter and the top/bottom faces of the grinding wheels. Simultaneous dressing eliminates wait times and significantly boosts production efficiency.
Integrated Tool Magazines: Both spindles feature dedicated tool magazines, with a measurement device located on the left side for rapid wheel changes and precise calibration.
Versatile Grinding: Capable of multi-zone grinding. When paired with specialized software, the machine can easily handle complex, non-circular (irregularly shaped) workpieces.
3. High-Precision Positioning
In addition to the Z1/Z2 axes and the hydrostatic rotary table, the X1, X2, and Y1 axes are equipped with optical scales. This full closed-loop feedback system ensures superior positioning and repeatability for both internal and external diameter grinding.
4. User-Friendly Control System
The machine utilizes a SYNTEC CNC controller. It features conversational programming, making the machine easy to operate, highly reliable, and quick to set up even for complex tasks.
5. Advanced Spindle Cooling
The internal grinding spindle is a built-in motorized design. It includes an independent constant-temperature cooling system, which minimizes thermal expansion and significantly extends the spindle’s service life.

Hainbuch offers an extremely innovative solution here with the new Maxxos T212 mandrel: The Maxxos T212 is a mandrel with a pull-back effect and is therefore ideal for 5-sided machining of the workpiece on both turning and milling centers. Thanks to the hexagonal pyramid shape, the Maxxos mandrel has been developed for maximum accuracy and feed rates. The hexagonal mandrel achieves a significantly higher holding power than the round Mando mandrel and enables up to double the torque transmission and corresponding cutting rates. Hainbuch offers the Maxxos T212 mandrel in 12 sizes for the diameter range 8mm to 200mm. The Maxxos T212 mandrel has no draw bolt.
