The Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) noted that energy-saving designs have expanded from standard models to high-end, high-value equipment. Many companies have adopted ISO 14955 (Energy Efficiency of Machine Tools), and YCM (Yeong Chin Machinery) secured Taiwan's first ISO 14067 Carbon Footprint verification for a machine tool, meeting strict global demands for low-carbon production.

AI Excellence Labels: SMEs Show Agility and Innovative Business Models

The inaugural "AI Excellence Labels" saw fierce competition. Beyond large corporations, many SMEs demonstrated digital agility by using AI to optimize scheduling and maintenance, addressing global labor shortages. These AI-driven strategies are transforming Taiwan’s machine tool industry from simple equipment manufacturing into "Smart Manufacturing Service Providers."

"Storefront in Front, Factory in Back": Strengthening the Global Supply Chain

Capitalizing on Taichung’s status as a unique precision machinery cluster, TMTS 2026 promotes the "Front Store, Back Factory" model. International buyers can witness innovations at the Taichung International Exhibition Center in the morning and visit nearby smart factories in the afternoon. This "Innovation at the Hall, Capability at the Factory" approach provides tangible proof of Taiwan’s reliability in smart, sustainable manufacturing.
