OCEAN Technologies recently announced a new
series of energy-saving EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) drills designed to
assist customers in achieving a net-zero transformation. These machines utilize
the 4th generation OCEAN controller, characterized by high speed, energy
efficiency, and low carbon emissions, and are equipped with advanced EtherCAT
CNC controllers. OCEAN Technologies was honored with the National Invention and
Creation Award for its patented "Breakthrough Hole Machining Control
System for EDM," which has also received a European patent.
The River600 features the HP1 Plus
high-speed discharge circuit, capable of high-speed 3D contoured EDM milling.
This product is ISO 14955 certified and has received the "Gold Award"
for Machine Tool Energy Saving. To further reduce production carbon emissions,
some metal castings in the River600 have been replaced with Mineral Casting
(Artificial Stone). This high-performance engineering material, composed of
mineral powder and polymers, offers high precision, lightweight, corrosion
resistance, and thermal stability. It can save approximately 50% in power
consumption and reduce the carbon footprint by about 35% compared to
traditional processes.
OCEAN Controller V4: Advanced Interface and AI Integration The 4th generation OCEAN controller features a 21-inch capacitive touchscreen with a Windows 11 interface, enhancing operational convenience and cybersecurity. It supports remote monitoring, OPC UA, and the OCEAN.Intelligence AI online expert function, providing 24/7 real-time support for machine troubleshooting and operational tutorials. OCEAN Technologies states that these new technologies will help customers reach decarbonization goals and promote the development of green machine tools through smart, eco-friendly solutions.
