Machine coolant plays a critical role in industrial and manufacturing environments. Its primary functions include absorbing and dissipating heat to maintain stable machine operation. During machining, substantial heat is generated; without timely cooling, machines may overheat, resulting in damage, reduced performance, or unstable machining quality. By maintaining optimal operating temperatures, coolant enables machines to perform at their best, thereby improving productivity and product consistency.

According to Mr. Chou, General Manager of GSTC Technology, fully utilizing a machine’s internal cutting-fluid system can significantly extend its functional capabilities. This practice has long been adopted in advanced European manufacturing. For this reason, GSTC Technology has introduced a series of water- and oil-driven tools from Europe, aiming to enhance Taiwan’s manufacturing environment with solutions that deliver practical and measurable benefits. By harnessing cutting-fluid pressure and flow during machining, manufacturers can effectively improve productivity while substantially reducing total machining costs.

Among the newly introduced solutions, the high-pressure coolant nozzle system from Switzerland’s Hirt Line replaces traditional plastic coolant hoses with stainless steel articulated pipes. It withstands up to 140 bar pressure and 210°C temperature, offers multiple nozzle configurations, and ensures leak-free, precise coolant delivery. This maximizes coolant efficiency and enhances overall machining performance.

From Sweden, the MPC hydraulic gripper enables automated workpiece loading and unloading using only 2 bar of water pressure, yet it can handle materials weighing up to 125 kg. Since coolant is a standard feature on CNC lathes and machining centers, the system can be deployed immediately without additional pneumatic or electrical wiring. This reduces manpower requirements, eliminates integration complexity, and increases production efficiency.
