HAWE’s energy-saving hydraulic units help reduce carbon emissions and shorten C-to-C time, cutting costs by tenths of a second.

A simple calculation reveals the potential savings:
On a machine tool operating 20 hours a day with an average of three tool changes per minute, the tool unclamping function is activated 3,600 times daily. If the improved hydraulic release function shortens the C-to-C time by just 0.1 seconds, this results in six minutes saved per day. At an hourly rate of approximately €90, that’s around €9 saved daily and more than €2,500 annually.

Since the hydraulic power unit provides the necessary power, the motor does not need to be oversized, reducing both energy consumption and overall size. Thanks to its compact design, the unit can be installed anywhere in the machine tool without causing line losses that affect performance when using valve blocks with accumulators.

The hydraulic power unit can also perform various functions, such as clamping spindles or workpieces, or operating APC systems. HAWE’s compact units, equipped with seat valve systems, are ideally suited for all these functions.
