The DC12 is the most robust VMC in AXILE’s arsenal, perfectly suited for handling larger, lengthy workpieces. With a maximum table loading weight of 2.5 tonnes and maximum diameter of 2,200 mm X 1,200 mm, the DC12 takes on the larger, heavier parts common in the aerospace, power generation, and die and mold industries. Its double-column bridge construction allows for greater rigidity, as well as greater control over thermal deformation. As a result, the D12 is capable of deep cuts and complex contouring while maintaining utmost precision.

HAINBUCH segmented mandrels use state-of-the-art clamping technology that is convincing, even in the most critical applications. The central element is the vulcanized segmented clamping bushing. Because conventional clamping bushings are made of spring steel and are only annealed to spring hardness, they are »soft« and they must »bend« to clamp the workpiece. HAINBUCH segmented bushings are made of case-hardened chromium-nickel-steel and have segments that are extremely hard and rigid. All contact surfaces are completely ground in one operation guaranteeing optimum concentricity.
Mandrels with hexagonal clamping geometry, the MAXXOS mandrels. are the optimized version for round MANDO mandrels. Thanks to the hexagonal geometry, a previously unattained clamping force and rigidity with the best precision is now achieved for internal clamping. The robust and powerful clamping mandrel delivers first-class values in terms of dirt density. The TS 460 and TT 460 touch probes feature intelligent battery management in order to minimize current consumption. The touch probe switches in steps to the stand by condition: The longer a touch probe has been switched off, the less current it consumes.
