Taiwan International Machine Tool Show Awarded Accolades
In order to encourage the domestic trade fair industry, Taiwan’s government founded the Taiwan MICE Awards to honor fairs that display excellent performances. At the award ceremony held in September 2017, the biannual metalworking show “2016 Taiwan International Machine Tool Show” was awarded the Bronze Prize due to its outstanding performance in many respects.
The award ceremony was organized by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade of Taiwan, where many important global trade fair organizations were in attendance, including AFECA, IAEE, and other trade fair experts, making this award one of the most esteemed awards in the world. Since its debut in 2010, Taiwan International Machine Tool Show has been working on the advancement of the show’s quality. This biannual show was held in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016; the next one will be held this November. With TMBA’s dedication, the TMTS show has gained remarkable influence in the industrial, academic, and governmental circles as it attracts renowned experts as well as buyers from all over the world. Today, TMTS sits at the top of all metalworking fairs in Taiwan.
In 2016, there were 738 exhibitors that participated in the 4th edition of the TMTS show, utilizing 4,002 booths, over 78,000 square meters. There were 84,374 visitors at the TMTS 2016, which constitutes a record in the trade fair’s history. The exhibits inventory included machine tools, machine tool components and accessories, automation equipment and smart manufacture… etc. Because the venue is located in Taichung, the industrial capital of Taiwan, the distance between buyers and suppliers’ factories is shortened. Furthermore, given the center’s proximity to Taiwan’s HSR, the latest transportation center in the central Taiwan, all visitors, whether local or from abroad, have easy access to the show with various mass transit means. In sum, the show features the ideas of Experiential Marketing, Green, Industry Upgrade, Smart Manufacturing, and Incubation. These advantages have made the TMTS show the number one show in the metalworking sector in Taiwan.
The 5th edition of TMTS will open its doors from the 7th to the 11th of this November in the trade fair halls near Taichung’s HSR. Visitors may discover more about the show by visiting the official site at www.tmts.tw
